Takikomi Rice is a dish made in Cooking Mama: World Kitchen.

Takikomi Rice is a popular dish in Japan, often made by cooking rice with stock and vegetables. In Cooking Mama: World Kitchen, you can make a type of takikomi rice called Gomoku meshi, loosely translating as "five ingredients mixed rice". Seasonal ingredients are typically used in making gomoku meshi and in this case, the ingredients used in Cooking Mama are burdock root (gobo), chicken, shiitake mushroom, and carrot.

Cooking Mama: World KitchenEdit

  1. Slice up!
  2. Dice it into little bits!
  3. Cut the noodles!
  4. Boil it!
  5. Make rice!
  6. Open the rice cooker!

  • Rice
  • Burdock Root
  • Chicken
  • Dried Shiitake Mushroom
  • Carrot
  • Broth (dashi)
  • Sugar
  • Soy Sauce
  • Garnished with kinome, the leaf of the Japanese pepper plant

  • Although the style of takikomi rice made in Cooking Mama is based off of gomoku meshi, there are actually only four ingredients used in the recipe. While some may argue that the rice itself is an ingredient, this isn't really the case as "ingredients" refer to the additives to the rice.
