Ramen is a Japanese noodle dish that fundamentally uses Chinese wheat noodles, flavored broth, and toppings. An adapted recipe from Chinese cuisine, ramen has become important to Japanese culture and multiple ramen styles began emerging in different areas of Japan. The invention of Instant Ramen became a breakthrough, considered to be one of the greatest Japanese invention due to the affordability and simplicity of only using boiled water.

Trivia Edit

  • In Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appétit!, you knead the dough with your feet instead of your hands. While this is strange at first glance, this was a far more effective method in the past for those who didn't have access to machinery and lacked enough arm strength to knead the dough, since kneading with your feet uses your entire body weight.
