Pickles are a recipe introduced in Cooking Mama 3: Shop & Chop.
Info[]
A pickle is based on a method of preserving food known as "pickling", in which a fruit or vegetable is stored in a container with spices and a sour or salty brine for a period of time.
The term "pickle" generally refers to pickled cucumbers. Its salty and tart flavor is often enjoyed on hamburgers or as a relish for hot dogs. Some even enjoy eating pickles as is.
In Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appétit!, the Assorted Pickles recipe is based off the Japanese nukazuke, which are vegetables fermented and pickled in rice bran, the outer layer of brown rice that contains a lot of vitamins and nutrients. As very little liquid is needed to produce the pickled flavor, the vegetables retain their crispiness, making them quite popular.
