Pan-Fried Batter Cake is a recipe introduced in Cooking Mama.


Known in Japanese as okonomiyaki, this savory pancake is made with a variety of ingredients. There are many okonomiyaki grill shops in Japan.

There are two, well known types of Okonomiyaki: Osaka (mixed) and Hiroshima (layered) styles. All the okonomiyaki dishes in the Cooking Mama series are prepared Osaka-style.

Cooking Mama


  1. Break an egg!
  2. Add the ingredients!
  3. Mix!
  4. Slice!
  5. Chop up!
  6. Add the ingredients!
  7. Pan-fry!
  8. Draw freely!

  • Ribs

  • Okonomiyaki Sauce

Cooking Mama: Cook Off


  1. Add ingredients!
  2. Mince!
  3. Add ingredients!
  4. Stir!
  5. Grill the okonomiyaki!
  6. Decorate as you like!

  1. Slice the meat in a slicer!
  2. Grate it!
  3. Dice it into little bits!
  4. Add the ingredients!
  5. Mix it!
  6. Cook the batter cake!
  7. Draw a picture!

  4. Break the eggs!
  5. Mix it with the blender!
  6. Cook the okonomiyaki!
  7. Shave the katsuobushi!
  8. Sprinkle it!
  9. Draw a picture!
