Imagawayaki is a recipe introduced in Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appétit!


Imagawayaki is a traditional Japanese dessert consisting of a red bean paste inside of a thick, round cake. The batter used has a similar consistency to those used in pancakes and waffles. They are very similar to taiyaki, another Japanese dessert made in the same way with the exception of being cooked in a fish-shaped mold.

  1. Wash the azuki beans!
  2. Remove the scum!
  3. Put it in the strainer!
  4. Use the blender!
  5. Boil it down!
  6. Break the eggs!
  7. Add the premix!
  8. Mix it up!
  9. Cook the imagawayaki!
  10. Brand it!
